Nova Heart

Helen Feng. Nova Heart. A strange setting for such a show. An upscale hotel bar. Helen, an active staple in the Chinese music scene for over a decade, a community stimulator via a company called Fake Music Media, she's dubbed the "Queen of Beijing Rock" and a ton of other buzzy shenanigans that I'd rather not keep throwing out there, I'm sure she and others have heard it enough.

The fact is, she's a live-wire onstage, and we had one of the best chats I've experienced yet in China. Intensely opinionated. Even though it was kind of a weird show, it was great to be able to see her. The drummer of HEDGEHOG plays drums for her now. Speaking of Hedgehog, I go see them practice tomorrow. Onward!
